Brandvakt Identity & Access Management Maturity Assessment

Overview

The Brandvakt Cyber Security Maturity Assessment focuses on specific controls that protect critical assets, infrastructure, applications, and data by assessing your organization’s defensive posture. The assessment also emphasizes operational best practices for each control area, as well as the organizational effectiveness and maturity of internal policies and procedures. The CSMA can be tailored to align with several different recognized cybersecurity control sets and frameworks based on your organization’s goals, industry, and maturity level. Your assessment will be conducted by our Advisory Services experts, with extensive experience across different areas of security and compliance; this ensures your plan makes the most sense for your organization’s needs.

Assessment Overview

The Brandvakt Identity and Access Management Assessment  engagement is divided into three phases and consists of onsite interviews, remote phone or video interviews, and a detailed review of IAM policies and operational procedures, where we assess also the various tools deployed for Access Management (SSO, Federation etc), Identity Lifecycle Administration and Identity Governance. Brandvakt aims to be as efficient as possible: Help us by being prepared to answer questions that span people, processes, and technology (with the focus being on people and processes). We will get deep into the weeds talking architecture, strategy, risk, and roadmap to formulate a comprehensive view of your IAM environment. We will conduct a Current Stage Analysis, Technology Review, Roadmap and recommendations,

How it works

Our Assessment will look at 7 different areas of IAM; Federation, Multi-factor authentication, Single Sign-On, Delegated Administration, Identity Life-cycle Administration, Access Management, Identity Governance.

Current State Analysis

We begin our IAM assessment by gathering documentation, reviewing the assessment scope, identifying key Business and Technical stakeholders, and analyzing your major pain points and opportunities. This enables us to understand how your primary systems are organized and determine your requirements for success.

Technology Review

Next, we conduct onsite Business, Technology and Process Assessment Workshops, interview stakeholders, and review existing technologies, business processes, and documentation. This enables us to fully understand your current and future IAM needs, including processes and dependencies, compliance requirements, pain points and opportunities. Additionally, we assess how the IAM program must support your technical and business goals while accommodating future initiatives and growth.

Roadmap & Recommendations

Here, we review our findings, discuss any issues and immediate concerns, including technology and process gaps. Finally, we devise a roadmap to transform and modernize your IAM Program.

The final output will consist of the following deliverables: 

  • A one page summary with an executive analysis and scorecard
